Crash in Korea

I was going for it in Korea, but sketched out on a toe-side turn and went off course. I had a great couple days of training leading up to the Korean World Cup and was feeling fast, but couldn’t hold on. I was disappointed in the outcome, but pleased with my aggressive approach and riding. My teammate Adam Smith was our top finisher in thirteenth. Austria’s Benjamin Karl won his first World Cup, Swiss riders Roland Haldi second and Heinz Inninger third, claiming his first World Cup podium of the season. I switched boots a few weeks ago and am stoked, maybe just needed a little more fine-tuning. I’ve had a chance to do so this week while preparing for our World Cup this Sunday in Gujo, Japan. While Korea was steep and hard it’s considerably flatter and softer here. I had a good morning of training and am dialing things in. I plan to train the next couple mornings and be ready to rip Sunday. I’m loving the sushi, green tea, Pocky Sticks and Japanese (Onsen) hotsprings – heading there this aft to recover. Always tons of snow here in Japan. The pow riding in the trees is epic, even though it’s forbidden. I’ll keep you posted from this weekend. World Cup boardercross Friday, pipe Saturday and PGS Sunday. Thanks for checking in.
