Back in Oregon

Missy and I arrived back in Sisters, Oregon earlier this week. It’s nice to be back in Central Oregon again. Tuesday I spoke in Charlotte, NC, sharing my transplant and snowboarding stories with the Carolina Medical Center Team. After working hard to wrap things up in Aspen and being on the road speaking, I’m happy to have arrived in Oregon. I’ll be training and playing hard here the next month. I’m planning to head to Mt. Hood in the weeks ahead to get back on-snow on the glacier. I’m fired up to ride my snowboard again. The first few turns are always a bit foreign, but it comes back fast.
Today I rode to the top of McKenzie Pass outside Sisters, Oregon with my local Sisters buddies to cheer on the Cascade Cycling Classic Riders as they climbed to the summit finish. My friend Jessica from Aspen was racing in the women’s field, so we had extra incentive to cheer loud. Saturday night is the downtown Bend criteriium race which is always a fun tradition. I’m looking forward to camp next week and kiteboarding in the afternoons on the Columbia. I’ll keep ya posted from summer training in Oregon. I hope you’re having a fun one too. Enjoy the pics below.
