5th Place FIS World Cup PGS 2010

I had such a fun race at Kreischberg today. What an awesome event, perfect hard, grippy snow, an excellent course set, and a big, enthusiastic crowd. The event was broadcast live on ORF-1. I thought the level of riding was insane – everyone was ripping. It was cool to be a part of it.
I got off to a great start going from bib #35 to second place on the first qualification run in the red course. My second qualification run was a little careful, but solid, qualifying me for the finals in fifth position. I advanced to the quarterfinals against Patrick Bussler from Germany in the first round. Andi Prommeger and I had a great first run duel in the quarterfinals – I won by .01 of a second. I rode aggressive in the second run, but made some big mistakes that cost me from advancing to the semi-finals. Andi was riding fast today. He’s a cool guy; I’m stoked for him. I was bummed not to move on, but happy with my riding. It was so much fun I wanted to keep going. I’m pleased with my riding and looking forward to our next World Cup in Nendaz, Switzerland Jan. 17th. I’m closer to Vancouver, but still have more work to do. I believe I can do it. Thanks for your support. I’ll keep ya posted here!
