2006 Burton-Klug Camp a Hit!

Our 6th Annual Camp was a great success. I feel like everyone that attended had fun and got better. That’s what it’s all about, and why I continue to do it each year. For those of you that joined us, Thank you. I hope you all had a great time and learned a lot. Thanks to our dream team of coaches Mitch Stout, Justin Reiter, Tricia Byrnes and Tomas Rodriguez for making it a success. What an all-star team! The weather ruled. I put three coates of sunscreen on daily, and wore a lid, and still managed to get scorched. I looked like a snowboarding mime with all the sunscreen I applied, but it wasn’t enought for the intense rays all weekend! It was three epic spring days. You couldn’t have asked for better conditions. It’s always a fun way for me to wrap up the season and share my passion for boarding with others. To participate in a riders progression and see their enthusiasm for improving their snowboarding makes it all worthwhile for me. First time boarder Derek joined us and after two days was going top to bottom. It was really rewarding for all of us to be a part of. Thanks again to everyone that made it happen. If you attended this year let me know what you thought and what you’d like to see for next year. Stay tuned for next year’s dates and info. Enjoy the camp photos. The riding is still awesome here in Aspen. The lifts close Easter Weekend. I’ll be out there as much as I can freeriding. Hope to see ya,CK
