2005 FIS World Champs Ahead!
Posted by admin on / 0 Comments
I’m in Whistler, B.C., Canada preparing and training for the 2005 FIS Snowboard World Championships. The World Champs are held every other year. It’s probably the biggest event in snowboarding after the Olympics. I’m fired up and ready to ride fast. I’ve been training with my teammates here in Whistler the past week getting ready to find the podium. I’m riding my best of the season and looking forward to going for it on Tuesday. I’ve finished consistently around 5-8 all of my career at the World’s. I wrote down my goals for this season in October with my coach Jan and one of them was to climb onto my the podium here. I belive I can make it happen! The Parallel Giant Slalom takes place on Tuesday and the Slalom on Wednesday. The celebration will kick off with the Opening Ceremonies tomorrow afternoon with Sunday’s Boardercross being the first competitive action. Check out the Whistler World’s website at:www.whistlerworlds.com for results and updates. It’s freezing here now. I took today off, relaxed a little, and did some climbing at the indoor gym with my teammates. I’ll take a few runs the next few days and fine-tune for Tuesday’s PGS. I’ll keep you posted on the action here.Hope you’re enjoying a great 2005 so far and getting some good riding in. I had a killer holiday in Aspen freeriding my brains out. The conditions in Aspen are insane right now, some of the best I can remember in a decade. We got dumped on the past weeks. Should be epic for X-Games end of the month. Enjoy! Happy New Year! Think Fast for Tuesday! Thanks for your support!CK
