Two Podiums in Copper
Posted by admin on / 0 Comments
Another podium today at Copper Mtn in the NorAm slalom race. Not my best riding, but good enough for third place. I struggled on both runs to find the rhythm on the top eight or ten gates of the course, but rode fast in the middle and bottom to place third. It was the same men’s podium as the day before in the GS, just a different order. I preferred Thursday’s position, but always happy to be on the podium. Canadian Jacey Jay Anderson took the Men’s win with a ripping second run; Adam Smith finished second. Alexa Loo from Canada won the women’s race, Caroline Calve second and my US Teammate Erica Mueller third. Heading home to Aspen to recover from two fun days of racing and a great training camp. After a week and a half of early mornings I’m looking forward to sleeping in and recovering for a few days. I’ll be logging a few hours in the Glenwood Hotsprings en route home to Aspen tomorrow.
The next race is a World Cup PGS December 8th in Limone Piedmonte, Italy. I’ll be working on going fast uphill instead of downhill the next two weeks to get ready for the 2nd Annual Aspen Summit for LifeDec. 1st, 2007. I hope you will join us in Aspen. We just added a free Friday night Nov. 30th Donor Dudes Concert at Club Chelsea in Aspen featuring Boulder raggae/hip-hop Band ‘Uproot.’ Visitwww.chrisklug.org for more info on the S4L weekend of activities. Snow on the way to Colorado early next week. Hopefully I’ll be on my freeride board next week enjoying some new snow. I’m ready! Happy Thanksgiving!
