Training in Heiligenblut
Posted by admin on / 0 Comments
I am in Heiligenblut, Austria training for World Championships ahead in Korea. I will compete in both parallel giant slalom and slalom in Korea. I love it here in Heiligenblut. The mountains are spectacular. I stare at the Gross Glockner, the highest mountain in Austria at 3,798 meters, from my pension room. Someday I want to return and climb it. The weather has been perfect here and the snow excellent for training. I’m having a lot of fun on-snow. I’m working hard this week with my teammates on and off snow to be in the best shape to ride fast in Korea. This may be my last Worlds and I want to give myself the best chance to perform well. Next week I will back off and taper for race day. January’s comp schedule includes a long stint on the road this year. It’s hard being away from home so long, but I’m focused on my training and enjoying the ride.
I wanted to share with you a new project that I’ve been working on the past months with my friend Thomas Clark. Check out our new site, www.therxwatch.com. This is a product that I hope will help many, like me that take medication daily for a chronic condition, to live a healthy and active life. Let me know what you think.
Also, the 9th Annual Aspen Klug Camp 2009 will take place again at Buttermilk Mtn. in Aspen, CO on April 3-5. I hope you’ll join us. Let me know if you’ve got questions. Talk to you from Korea! Rip it up out there! Enjoy the pics.CK
