Training at Mt. Washington
Posted by admin on / 0 Comments
I’ve been having a fun time in Vancouver! I went to the USA vs. Switzerland Hockey match on Tuesday. That was super cool. Nice start for Team USA. After a week in Vancouver staying at athlete village, I flew to join my team at Mt. Washington on Vancouver Island for training. We lucked out with a window of perfect weather. The training here is awesome. It’s spring-like snow conditions, freezing at night and melting with the warm temps during the day. It’s a fun mountain and the view from the top across the Straights of Georgia is incredible. The green contorted Dr. Seuss-like trees loaded with snow are quite a contrast to the watery backdrop. Training is going great. I’m having a blast and working hard to be ready to rip. My event, the Men’s PGS, is still a week away. I believe I can compete for another medal. I’ll go for it and hope it’s my day. I’m heading back to Vancouver early next week. We have a PGS press conference at the International Broadcast Center on Tuesday. That should be funny. Enjoy the photos from my adventures in Vancouver and Mt. Washington. Thanks for checking in. Talk to you soon,
