Soelden, Austria FIS World Cup PGS Sunday

Training is going great in Soelden. I’m ready to rip this weekend. The snow and training conditions on top of the mountain are epic. It’s super crowded and littered with rocks on the lower part of the mountain, but perfect man-made super grip on top. It’s sick carving conditions. Hard to believe they are making snow on the glaciers. Unfortunately they’re getting slimmer each year with global warming. I destroyed a new race board on Tuesday training at Tiefenbach ferner gletcher when I skipped off a rock in the middle of a heelside turn. What a bummer!
I’m looking forward to a fun one this weekend. I was stoked with my solid performance last weekend at indoor World Cup opener in Landgraaf, Netherlands, finishing 16th, especially considering it was just eight weeks after breaking my tibia in a training crash at Mt. Hood in August. My foot is feeling strong and ready to charge on Sunday. The women race Saturday, men on Sunday and I return home Monday. I’ll keep ya posted on the action from Soelden this weekend. Thanks for stoppin’ in. enjoy the pics from Austria.
