Pyramid Peak Oregon

I climbed 14,008 ft. Pyramid Peak above Aspen last week with my climbing partner and friend Jon. It was a beautiful climb on a perfect August day. The moonlight was reflecting off of Maroon Lake as we approached Pyramid in the dark. The view from the top was spectacular. We met a family of Rocky Mtn. Goats on our way down, fortunately they didn’t kick any rocks on us, actually they were pretty friendly.
I was in Oregon over the weekend testing some new snowboard equipment at Mt. Hood and kiteboarding on the Columbia River. It was nice to be back on-snow and on the water again. There was still lots of snow atop Mt. Hood. My new gear ruled. I did about ten runs each morning. My legs felt fit after training all summer on my bike for the Leadville 100 Trail race. I’m looking forward to doing a few races this winter and want to make sure that I am ready.
Have a fun Labor Day Weekend ahead! I’m excited to do some more climbing and riding and focus on my real estate activities. The Jazz Aspen Music Fest featuring the Eagles, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Back Crowes is happening this weekend at Snowmass, should be fun. I hope to see ya there. Enjoy!
