OR Coast Trip

I just got back from a fun weekend of kiting and surfing on the Oregon Coast. I grabed my boards and wetsuits Friday and headed to the beach to escape the Central Oregon heat last week. It was a sauna here in Sisters. The weekend temperatures were around one hundred five degrees. Too hot for me. A big fire broke out just outside Sisters, where we reside for a few months in the summer, as a result of the heat and lightning. It was fun to see my friends and be back surfing again. The Oregon coast is a magical place. There was a good nine foot swell which is rare in the summer. Gotta take advantage of those.I’m back in Sisters this week training and playing and working on wedding plans with Missy. Wedding boot camp is a bit overwhelming, but we’re making headway. I’m headed to Mt. Hood tomorrow to get back on-snow. Can’t wait to ride again. I’ll be testing boards and finding my sea legs all weekend on the Palmer glacier atop Mt. Hood. It’s supposed to cool down over the weekend, so the snow should be fast and hard. I’m hoping the wind cooperates so I can kiteboard in the afternoons on the Columbia near Hood River. Nothing like summer training in Oregon. I hope you’re enjoying your summer. All the best! I’ll keep ya posted from the road in Oregon.
