Happy Liver Day!
Posted by admin on / 0 Comments
I celebrated my sixth anniversary since my liver transplant by carving fast turns on my snowboard this morning atop Mt. Hood. I remember riding again for the first time seven weeks after my transplant in September of 2000 at Mt. Hood. I’ll never forget the sensation of being back on-snow for the first time and the view of the Cascades from the top! I sat enjoying the same view this morning and reflected for a few minutes on the past six years and how fortunate I am to still be here. I’ve got the best family and friends and I’m passionate about what I’m doing these days. Thank you to all my friends for you support and friendship. I’m dedicated more than ever to living everyday to the fullest and speading the message of donor awareness in all that I do. I’m hoping to top off the day with some kiteboarding this afternoon. All the best,
CK
