Happy Halloween!

I just wrapped up two great weeks of training at Copper Mtn., Colorado with my America’s Snowboard Team Teammates. It has been cold and winter-like at Copper the past days, but the training has been excellent. I’m riding fast and having a lot of fun on my giant slalom board. We got a lot of mileage the past two weeks, taking an average of about ten race runs daily. I had a good crash on my mountain bike last weekend, which led to a bad bruise on my quad. I had to take a couple days off from training on-snow to do PT on my leg, but was back in action yesterday. Thanks to my trainer and friend Bill Fabrocini at the Aspen Club & Spa for helping me get back on my board so fast. I feel I’m riding faster than ever this year. I’ve done my homework this summer and am stoked on my equipment and preparation. I just need to go out and have fun in the races, relax and not over think things too much and do what I know how to do. It will take some luck and some fast riding when it counts, but I believe I can accomplish my snowboarding goals if I stick to the plan.
I’m home this week in Aspen. My teammates are joining me in Aspen tonight for Halloween. Missy and I are dressing up tonight as Mexican Professional Wrestlers, ala Nacho Libre. I’ll have to post some photos in the days ahead. I’m going to be training in Aspen this week. I return to snow Nov. 9th for another two weeks of training and racing. I will participate in two NorAm PGS races at Copper Mtn. on Nov. 12th and 13th. Should be some fun racing action. I believe many of the European racers will be joining us, so should be a fast field of riders. I always love racing at Copper in November.
We just launched our newest version of our America’s Snowboard Team website. Check out the new videos on the home page. Thanks for checking in. Happy Halloween. Talk to you soon,
CK
