Betty Bear Hut Trip

I had a fun weekend hut trip with my friends to Betty Bear Hut over the weekend. We skinned up Road 505 above the Frying Pan Valley Saturday morning. I was such a beautiful, warm day, I was wearing just an UA base layer. After a four hour hike up to the hut we made a few turns and built a little kicker at night. It was super fun! It started dumping last night. We awoke to more than a foot this morning which made for some fun pow turns in the glades below the hut. Headed back to the car was a workout with all the new snow. Breaking trail was brutal. It took us a bit longer to get home than I expected, but it was worth it. It’s going to be an epic powder day tomorrow. Hope to see you out there. Enjoy! CK
