Bad Gastein Slaloms Ahead?
Posted by admin on / 0 Comments
I’m in Bad Gastein, Austria getting ready for Two World Cup Slaloms Wednesday and Thursday and a Europa Cup Slalom on Friday. There’s still not much snow here and it’s too warm to blow, but the organizer remain confident they can pull off the races beginning Wednesday. I seems cold enough to make snow, but I’ve been staring at the race hill constantly from my hotel room and I’ve yet to see ‘em fire up the snowmaking guns. Two days ’till racing, and it’s a beautiful sunny day, so we’ll see what happens.
Last night we celebrated our teammate Daniel “Bive†Biveson’s 30th birthday here in Bad Gastein. It was a fun celebration with our team. I’m training hard in the days ahead in preparation for hopefully two World Cup slaloms ahead. Cross your fingers. I’ll keep you posted from Bad Gastein. I return home to Aspen this weekend for the holiday and to ride some poudre. It’s my favorite time of the year. Merry Christmas. Talk to ya soon,
CK
