Back Home in Aspen!

I’m finally back home in Aspen after a long competition season. I was hoping to finish the competition season with a win at Nationals, but I got knocked out in the PGS in the first round. I was riding solid and felt like I was in a position to win, but it didn’t seem to go my way, like a lot of things this season. It wasn’t my strongest season in my fifteen years on the circuit. I worked hard and did my very best at every race to give myself the best chance, but for whatever reason I didn’t find the podium as often as I would have liked. My heart tells me to go on. I still love the sport and racing and will come back next year even stronger, determined to rule it again. I have to make a few adjustments with my technique, coaching and gear, but am confident I can make the necessary changes to put me back on top.I’m happy to be back home in Aspen freeriding and recovering from six months on the road racing and training. I enjoyed two epic freeride days at Snowmass and Ajax the past days. Nice to be home again! I’m preparing this week for my 6th annual snowboard camp held at Buttermilk Mtn., Aspen. It is always a fun way to wrap up the season. I’m joined by an all-star line-up of coaches. It’s a lot of work for me, but a lot of fun too. Hope you can join us. Best wishes for a great spring ahead. Thank you for supporting me this winter and for cheering me on!CKCK Freeridin Snowmass yesterday, photo Andrew Wilz Photography
