3rd Place Bromley NorAm PGS

After a week of surf in Maui, I returned to snow and found the podium in Bromley, Vermont Saturday at the NorAm PGS. It was a super fun weekend of racing in Vermont, warm spring-like slushy conditions. Thank God after coming from Maui. It was bitter cold when we arrived earlier in the week and hero winter snow conditions, but after an all-night downpour Friday night and warm temps, the snow transformed to springtime corn. The warm weather made for banked racing conditions. I chose to compete at Bromley as a good warm-up and training opportunity for the World Cup Finals this Friday at Stoneham, Quebec, plus the fact that I love to race. My body never felt better than after a week off in Maui. I think that contributed to my strong riding this past weekend. Lying on my surfboard and being in the water is therapeutic after a full winter of impact from rutted courses. It’s important to have balance. I’ll be ready for an extended surf trip this spring. Along with snowboarding, surfing is my favorite activity.
I drove to Quebec City this afternoon from Vermont. I’m taking tomorrow off walking “Le vieuz ville de Quebec” and recovering from two full days of racing. We race World Cup Finals PGS on Friday. I’d love to finish the World Cup circuit with some fast riding. This weekend I travel to Florida to screen our documentary “Ride of your Life†at the Delray Beach Film Festival. I’m excited to launch our film after working hard on it the past year. We plan to premier our documentary in April in Colorado for Donate Life Month. I’ll keep ya posted. Enjoy the pics from Maui and Bromley. A bientot de Quebec!
