2009 World Champs

I regret that things didn’t go as I’d hoped today in Korea. I couldn’t ride 100% in today’s World Championship PGS. I had a bad crash training slalom two days ago that injured my back. It’s not serious, but I was so stiff and sore I couldn’t ride yesterday. I did my best to get ready to race this morning, but had a hard time warming up and feeling confident. I started the PGS, but after riding the top of the course I couldn’t pressure the board or do what I wanted to do and had to exit. I didn’t want to risk injuring myself worse or jeopardize the rest of the competition season. I’m bummed as I felt well trained and prepared for a great final World Championships bid. Bad timing for a big crash. It’s disappointing as I was looking forward to this race all season and ready to go for it. I’ll see how I feel in the morning, but probably won’t start tomorrow’s slalom. I’ll return to Munich and focus on getting healthy, so I’m ready to charge again for our next World Cup in Sudenfeld, Germany end of January. Thanks for all your support and fast thoughts. I’l bounce back strong for the next opportunity. Talk to you soon,
