17th World Transplant Games 2009

G’day mates from Oz. I had the honor of giving the keynote address at the Opening Ceremonies of the 17th World Transplant Games last night in Brisbane, Australia. What an awesome event. I was so proud to be a part of it. The Opening Ceremonies performances and music were great. I loved it all.
Missy and I arrived a week before the World Games activities to explore the Sunshine and Gold Coasts. I enjoyed some fun kiteboarding and surfing session. We met some of the local wildlife as well, fortunately no sharks. I’m returning home to the States today, sad our trip has come to an end – it was so much fun, but went too fast as they always do when you’re loving it. A week is not long enough in such a cool place. I’ll be back for sure, for much longer next time. I’m headed to Mt. Hood tomorrow to join my America’s Snowboard Team teammates. I’m excited to get back on-snow and train hard in the weeks ahead. I’m stoked with the new team we’ve created together. I’ll talk to ya from camp. Enjoy the photos from Down Under!
